Nottingham announces SQBP plans for city centre bus routes

Nottingham city Council is in the advanced stages of planning a Statutory Quality Bus Partnership covering the city centre in a move that aims to improve the quality of local bus services.

The scheme will require bus operators to meet strict rules on vehicle age, emissions and low floor disabled accessibility.

Vehicles will also be required to have smart card ticketing and real time information equipment.
