Legal action halts London strikes as Metroline disputes union’s figures

A planned strike by bus driving staff in London was cancelled this week after bus operator Metrobus sought a legal injunction to prevent the action.
The stoppage was set to involve up to 14,000 members of the Unite union at First London Arriva, Metroline, East London, and East Thames Buses who were campaigning to secure a unitary pay rate for drivers across the capital.
