Time’s up for commuters at Brighton park
Brighton & Hove City Council has introduced parking charges and a maximum time limit stay at Preston Park to stop it being used for parking by commuters.
The council said the charges and six-hour maximum time limit is being imposed to tackle the problem of commuters parking when using the nearby Preston Park railway station.
The move follows a petition signed by more than 2,000 people, protesting at the number of cars in the park. Parking will now be limited to two areas of the park. Charges...
