Private operator set to run Cambridge park & ride sites
Cambridge County Council is seeking to open up competition in the management of its five park & ride sites in a bid to save over £600,000 a year. Currently the Conservative-led council runs the sites itself with the service operated by Stagecoach.
A council spokesman said P&R was not generating enough income to cover the running costs of the service and that encouraging competition was in the public interest.
