New secure Blue Badges issued free to users in Wales

The Welsh Government has launched a more secure Blue Badge for disabled motorists, which is free to the user, unlike in England where the new badge costs £10. The new windscreen mounted, bi-lingual badge, launched on 26 March, features additional security features, making it harder to forge.
Linked to a new national database of eligible badge holders, the revamped badges are designed to make it easier for police and enforcement officers to spot forged badge users parking illegally .
