Riding mopeds without the right gear is asking for trouble

It was with dismay that I saw a double page advert in the November edition of Parking Review for Parking World 2011. I refer in particular to the image of a moped rider.
As a former civil enforcement officer who used a 125cc motorcycle, advanced motorcyclist, former RAC/ACU training instructor and a rider for SERV, I was horrified to see that companies are putting there staff at risk by sending them out without proper protective jackets, trousers, gloves & possibly boots.
