End in sight for Get Carter multi-storey

The iconic Gateshead multi-storey — which featured in the British gangster film Get Carter — is to be demolished to make way for a £1bn regeneration project.
Plans for a new development to replace Gateshead’s Trinity Square shopping centre will include an underground car park with around 800 spaces.
