APCOA buys CPS’s European operations

Central Parking System UK and European operations to be re-branded APCOA

Deniz Huseyin

APCOA has bought the European business of American-owned rival Central Parking System (CPS).

Months of negotiation with Central Parking Corporation resulted in  APCOA buying all the European businesses of CPS, with the exception of a CPS joint-venture in Greece. The price paid remains undisclosed.

The biggest impact of the acquisition will be felt in the UK, where APCOA’s operations will be nearly doubled in size. The deal will also see APCOA enter the Irish and Spanish markets.
