Whatever side of the political spectrum you are on, you can’t disagree that London mayor Boris Johnson’s appearances before the London Assembly are anything but entertaining to watch.
Last month Johnson was hauled before the 25 Assembly members to answer questions about his New Bus For London project. The mayor rejected accusations that it was an expensive vanity project, but got a bit lost on some of the technical jargon, describing the closing door for the rear platform as a “shower curtain-type jobby”.
But on one issue he was clear: “There will be no central London bendy bus heritage route,” grinned the blond bombshell.
