ScotRail staff set to strike in dispute over new Airdrie to Bathgate route
More than 550 RMT members at First's ScotRail franchise are set to stage strike action on February 20, March 1 and March 13 after voting overwhelmingly for action against plans to introduce driver-only operation on a new rail route.
The dispute centres on plans to introduce driver door operated trains with ticket examiners on the new Glasgow to Edinburgh via Airdrie and Bathgate route which is due to open in December.
