TIE's Mackay to take the chair at Lothian Buses

The chairman of Edinburgh Tram promoter, Transport Initiatives Edinburgh, has been named as the new chairman of council-owned bus operator Lothian Buses.

David Mackay will succeed Pilar Smith, who has been chairman of the operator for the last decade, in January.

Mackay took over as TIE chairman last December after Willie Gallagher departure from the company unexpectedly. He has headed TIE through a turbulent six months during which a dispute broke out between TIE and construction firm...
