Go-Ahead reports better revenue but margin falls
Public transport operator Go-Ahead has reported that its revenue for the financial year ending 30 June 2012 was £2.424bn, up by 5.5% on the £2.297bn figure for the previous year. The companies operating profit, however, fell from £115m to £110m, a drop of 4.3%.
The company’s bus division did well, with revenue rising by 7.6%, up from £642m to £691m, and operating profits rising from £67m to £70m, a jump of 4.6%.
