£150m majors on Baker’s radar
The DfT is reviewing how major transport schemes in England costing around £150m can continue to be delivered after the new devolved system for major scheme funding is introduced in 2015.
Under the devolved arrangements, the national funding pot for major schemes will be split up between the 38 Local Enterprise Partnership areas. The amount of grant that each area receives is likely to make funding projects costing over £100m more difficult.
