Merseyside partners at odds over transport governance roles

Transport bodies on Merseyside are in dispute over who should set the area’s transport priorities.

The disagreement became public during the preparation of a response to the DfT’s consultation on plans to devolve major transport scheme funding from April 2015 to new ‘local transport bodies’ covering Local Enterprise Partnership areas.
