Low carbon car sales up

Sales of fuel-efficient cars with low carbon dioxide emissions are rising rapidly, according to motor industry body the SMMT. 46.8% of cars sold in 2011 emitted less than 130 grammes of carbon dioxide per kilometre, up from only 10.6% in 2007, the SMMT says.
