DfT issues guide to help councils evaluate impact of major schemes
The DfT has published new guidance to help local authorities evaluate the impact of their transport schemes. The guide notes that "transport carries a good reputation for the appraisal of schemes before implementation, [but] less well developed is the use of retrospective impact evaluation, for accountability, or to inform the planning, appraisal and delivery of future schemes."
