Cycle links to school guide published
Transport charity Sustrans, Cycling England and the DfT have published a new best practice guide for local authorities wanting to help Sustrans extend the National Cycle Network by developing new cycling routes to schools.
Since the 'Links to Schools' project began in October 2004 Sustrans says a total of £26.3m - including a £10m grant from the DfT - has been spent on 147 new links to more than 300 schools.
