Parks get traffic regulation powers
The Government is to give the 12 National Park Authorities in England and Wales the power to restrict vehicles, such as 4x4s, from using recreational routes. An amendment to the Natural Environment and Rural Communities Bill will give the NPAs the power to make Traffic Regulation Orders to regulate and restrict traffic on recreational routes in their boundaries.
