Release your transport data, DfT tells councils and operators

Most data about transport networks should be made freely available in order to improve the public’s travel choices, according to the DfT’s new open data strategy.

The document sets out the Department’s intention to “widen the scope of open data releases” following the already released NAPTAN database on all bus stops and railway stations and real-time road network and train service information.
