Johnson submits formal proposal for control over London rail services

London Mayor Boris Johnson has formally submitted proposals to the Government to gain control over sections of inner London suburban rail operations. The case for Transport for London gaining management control is based on providing more frequent and reliable services, simpler ticketing, cleaner and safer stations and better standards of customer service.
