Bus bunching study wins prize
A consultant at Steer Davies Gleave has won the 2011 Voorhees-Large Prize for research into bus bunching. David Bellinger’s transport Masters dissertation at the University of Westminster used data from Transport for London’s iBus automatic vehicle location system to develop a new metric to describe bus bunching, which he then measured on 30 London bus routes. The prize is awarded in the memories of Al Voorhees, founder of MVA, and Brian Large, a director of MVA....
