First wins new Bath P&R contract
Bath and North East Somerset Council has awarded bus operator First Somerset & Avon an eight-year contract to provide the park-and-ride services in Bath from September. First will provide new hybrid double deck vehicles with leather seats for the services. Services are currently provided on a gross cost contract, whereby the council retains all fare income, but the new contracts will be awarded on a net cost basis, with First retaining the revenues.
