National parking standards scrapped

The National Planning Policy Framework abolishes the national maximum parking standards for non-residential land uses that feature in Planning Policy Guidance 13: Transport.
The Government says the standards do not reflect local circumstances.
Local authorities will still be required to develop their own standards, which can be either minimum or maximum.
