Norfolk views bigger role for DRT and plans end to P&R subsidies
Norfolk County Council is proposing to replace subsidised rural bus services outside its main inter-urban routes with demand responsive transport (DRT).
The measure is one of a number of proposals in the county council’s ‘Big Conversation’ consultation on how the authority can plug a predicted £155m budget gap over three years.
Norfolk is also seeking to remove the £2.2m annual subsidy for park-and-ride services and to spend significantly less on highways...
