MPs criticise councils’ CO2-based parking charges
MPs have criticised councils for introducing emissions-based parking charges.
The House of Commons transport committee’s new report on road taxes and charges questions the logic of graduating residents’ parking charges according to a vehicle’s CO2 emissions. The idea was pioneered by the London Borough of Richmond which is extending the practice to parking in council-owned car parks.
