It’s not in transport planners’ interests to doubt global warming

Richard Craig (Letters LTT?22 August) criticises me for pointing out the embarrassing history of climate change, namely, and in summary, the very large fluctuations in temperature that have occurred over the past 15,000 years; most, if not all, of which cannot be attributed to mankind, particularly the cooling since between 1940 and 1975 and the cooling since 2000. To that I add the close match between temperature and sun spot activity.
