Planning for the future is a top priority – and our Group Strategy department has a key role to play in that. Working together with other stakeholders such as train operating companies and government departments, we're responsible for producing integrated long-term plans to secure funding and shape a rail network ready for the demands of tomorrow.

Join us and you’ll have every opportunity to use your skills and energy to the full. You'll be the powerhouse actively driving the identification and development of network capability and capacity. It's a challenging and high profile role that includes developing a portfolio of plans describing the capability and use of each strategic route, leading the establishment of Route Specifications and undertaking the role of client for Government funded enhancements.

You'll need:

Well-developed commercial and financial awareness

In-depth understanding of the rail industry

Proven talent for clear and persuasive communication

Ideally, an MBA or similar qualification
