Revised guidance from DCLG for the Code for Sustainable Homes

The planning regulations for new housing are changing with the Government intending for all new homes to be zero carbon by 2016. The Code for Sustainable Homes will soon be mandatory and the PPS1 Supplement on Planning for Climate Change due out this autumn sets out the Key Planning Objectives around which all spatial strategies should be based.With these developments in mind, Housing and Planning Minister Yvette Cooper has called on developers to refocus their efforts to deliver the eco homes...
