This June will see the launch of a new kind of magazine to meet the changing needs of the passenger transport sector and map out the future of its vital role in a changing society. This will take over the pioneering mission that Transit began 14 years ago.

The new Transit, with nearly 3 times the amount of content, responds to this dynamic and vital sector at a time of change and uncertainty.  This monthly magazine will showcase the best, and map out the future for the passenger transport sector.

News: while it's new

A New Transit subscription now includes full access to TransportXtra.com which is updated daily with immediate and valuable passenger transport news and information from a multitude of sources.

Intelligent categorisation from a team of transport professionals help TransportXtra integrate the latest articles with the comprehensive archive and library of data from multiple sources. A valuable time-saving way to get the bigger picture.

Infrastructure developments, fares, reports and policy news, provided by Local Transport Today magazine are now fully accessible to Transit subscribers online too.

New Transit  & TransportXtra compliment each other perfectly, with the latest news and commentary online daily and industry-leading comment and analysis in print.

Coming soon

Transit was first launched in 1995 to cater for the fledgling privatised bus and rail industries. Over the past decade and a half these industries have become increasingly mature and the relaunched New Transit keeps apace with this evolution while looking towards the emergence of an enhanced role for the passenger transport sector in tomorrow’s economy.

Issue 1 of New Transit will be with subscribers mid June.

Full Access to TransportXtra is available now to Transit subscribers.
