The launch of Edinburgh's trams has again been put back by several months, in at least the fourth delay to the scheme since it was approved.
Trams were due to start running in July 2011, but this has been postponed to later in that year following a series of setbacks to the project.
Richard Jeffrey, the new chief executive of TIE, the city council's tram firm, also suggested the Edinburgh airport-Newhaven line might be opened in stages, as The Scotsman revealed two years ago.
