A Labour-led motion calling for the reregulation of bus services in Greater Manchester was rejected by councillors in Bolton last week.
Nick Peel, Bolton Council’s member for environmental services put forward the motion that urged GMITA to use powers under the Local Transport Act to introduce quality contracts. The move was defeated however by a coalition of Conservative and Lib Dem members.
