Oxfordshire rejects SQP proposal and goes ahead with pedestrianisation

Oxfordshire County Council is to press ahead with controversial plans to close a number of central Oxford streets to bus traffic.

It has also rejected alternative proposals put forward by dominant local bus operators Oxford Bus Company and Stagecoach Oxford that included plans for a Statutory Quality Partnership Scheme.
