Southeastern Trains will not impose the full 35% premium fare it is entitled to charge for its 140mph services which will operate on the Channel Tunnel Rail Link from December.
Keith Ludeman, chief executive of Go Ahead Group, Southeastern’s majority shareholder, said fare levels on the new services would be a critical decision for the business and it would be vital to get it right first time.
