Cardiff Bus found guilty of unfair competition against 2 Travel

The Office of Fair Trading has ruled that council-owned bus operator Cardiff Bus engaged in predatory action against failed AIM-listed bus operator 2 Travel.

The decision relates to Cardiff Bus’ behaviour between April 2004 and February 2005. Cardiff Bus responded to the introduction of a new no-frills bus service by 2 Travel, by introducing its own no-frills bus services which ran on the same routes, at similar times as 2 Travel's services and made a loss for Cardiff Bus.
