It may have been a typo, but as a resident of east Cornwall perhaps I could be allowed to correct an assertion in Terence Uden’s letter (Transit August 29)? Truronian never did operate in east Cornwall (although one route did reach Lostwithiel). The comment “First have re-established a virtual monopoly in east Cornwall with the hurried purchase of Truronian” should refer to west Cornwall.
