Catalytic converter thefts soar in Surrey

 

Drivers in Surrey are being warned to make regular safety checks on their vehicles after a spate of catalytic converter thefts in the county. Thieves have been targeting commercial and 4X4 vehicles with higher ground clearance and easier underside access, said Surrey Police. The rise in such thefts across the UK has been attributed to the soaring price of metals.
