Richmond to hire more civil enforcement officers

The London Borough of Richmond is recruiting extra civil enforcement officers (CEOs) to ensure compliance with parking and anti-idling rules.

The decision, which was made on 22 July, will see an extra 18 CEOs deployed across the west London council’s controlled parking zones (CPZs), six level crossings and outside schools.

The CPZs have been designed to reduce commuter traffic, prioritise resident parking and will encourage the use of vehicles that produce low CO2 emissions.
