The sustainable urban drainage system being installed

Courtyards and car parks at Aberdeen’s new International Business Park are designed to help protect the water quality of the River Dee, a well-known salmon river.

The business park, which is being built next to Aberdeen International Airport, features a Sustainable Drainage (SuDS) scheme that employs filtration and bioretention technologies to meet planning and pollutant removal criteria required by the Scottish Environmental Protection Agency (SEPA).
