Car-maker Daimler is working with Bosch to develop a car park booking and self-parking process. The automated valet concept seeks to eliminate the need for drivers to enter car parks. 

A smartphone app will enable a driver to book a parking space for a vehicle. Once the user is in a car park’s ‘pick-up-zone’, the car can be left to drive on independently. The valet parking system will register the vehicle, start it and direct it to an assigned parking space.
