Residents in the picturesque city of Wells have taken to writing notes to drivers who have been deemed guilty of thoughtless parking.

A motorist who parked across the entry to the Somerset city’s Bishop’s Barn, received a note that read: “Attention dipstick. How do I get my pram through this pathway?”

Another note stated: “Idiot! What about wheelchairs and mobility scooters?”
