Demand for cycle parking at rail stations is rising, says ATOC's Haig

The number of cycle parking spaces at UK rail stations is set to reach 75,000 next year, more than three times the 2009/10 level, said Conrad Haigh, head of integrated transport at the Association of Train Operating Companies (ATOC). Speaking at Cycle City Active City, a Landor LINKS event held in Newcastle, Haig predicted that in the next five years cycle parking capacity at stations would rise to 150,000 spaces.
