POPLA adjourns 1,500 appeals but IAS continues to hear all cases

The two independent appeals services for parking on private land have adopted different approaches to resolving cases possibly affected by Supreme Court ruling on Barry Beavis v ParkingEye.

Parking on Private Land Appeals (POPLA) has adjourned around 1,500 cases pending the content of the Supreme Court judgment. POPLA listens to appeals made by drivers who have been ticketed by companies belonging to the British Parking Association (BPA) Approved Operator Scheme.
