Leicester considers pavement parking pilot

Leicester City Council is considering trialling a pavement parking ban in four areas. The city's mayor Peter Soulsby will decide next month whether or not to allow the pilot to go ahead in four wards - Aylestone, Rushey Mead, Abbey and Charnwood.

During the trial civil enforcement officers would issue drivers that park on pavements with a £70 penalty charge notice. The impact of the ban would then be assessed along with a consultation to decide if the ban should be made...
