Drivers reluctant to buy electric cars, says DfT research

Nearly 70% of drivers would not consider buying an electric car, according to research for the Department for Transport into public attitudes to electric vehicles. The three primary factors deterring motorists from buying an electric vehicle were recharging the vehicle (40%), the distance travelled on a battery charge (39%) and the cost of the vehicle (33%).
