Met suspends roadside checks with bailiff firms

NoToMob lobby raises concerns over stops involving parking debts.

The Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) has suspended all roadside checks involving bailiff firms while it investigates concerns raised by campaign group NoToMob.

A chief inspector at the MPS wrote to NoToMob on 6 June stating that all roadside operations involving bailiff firms had been “suspended until the MPS can fully explore the issues”.

The MPS told Parking Review that this review would take “several months to complete”.
