Some 69% of people support the idea of a ban on parking on pavements, as do 78% of councillors, reveals research undertaken for Guide Dogs, the charity for blind and partially sighted people.
The charity say blocking the pavement, especially for blind people, is “inconsiderate and dangerous”. They point to London where there is a ban on parking on footways on most London streets and want a ruling to cover the rest of the country.
