Richmond decides to freeze parking charges

Richmond upon Thames has agreed to freeze parking charges for the next 12 months. The council’s cabinet member for highways and street scene, Chris Harrison, said: “Hopefully people are beginning to trust the council on parking issues, and to believe our pledges on fairer parking. It would not be right of us to ramp up the charges when the economy is still fragile and I am pleased to say that unlike many other local authorities, Richmond upon Thames will not increase its charges...
