Disabled Motoring UK applauds Westminster’s yellow line changes

Disabled Motoring UK has backed Westminster City Council’s new street policy of introducing double yellow lines at dropped kerbs to help disabled pedestrians cross roads.

Dr Adrian V Stokes OBE, chairman of Disabled Motoring UK, said: “We cannot understand the objections to this initiative, especially as the Highway Code states: ‘Do not stop or park, opposite or within 10m (32ft) of a junction, except in an authorised parking space or where the kerb has been lowered to help...
