A guide to who runs civil parking enforcement contracts across Britain

Some 297 local authorities in England and Wales conduct civil parking enforcement (CPE) under the Traffic Management Act (TMA) 2004, of which 33 are in London.

In Scotland, around half-a-dozen councils undertake decriminalised parking enforcement (DPE), while on-street parking enforcement in Northern Ireland is the responsibility of the NI Roads Service.
