Devon County Council has put on hold its plan to introduce pay & display schemes in eight towns. The council received about 4,400 objections to its bid to bring in charging in Okehampton, Honiton, Budleigh Salterton, Sidmouth, Kingsbridge, Dartmouth, Braunton and Tavistock.
